Abstract
With the help of one of the largest computations ever, an information scientist has come up with a scheme for bridging the vocabulary differences across disciplines in MEDLINE, the National Library of Medicine9s vast online collection of biomedical papers and abstracts. The system suggests alternative key words to enable users to track papers related to the same concept in different disciplines. Early demonstrations of the system (www.canis.uiuc.edu) have gone over well with physicians. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
