Abstract
Solutions to the problem of equitable spatial distribution of the benefits of social, economic and political change will have incorporated within them a better understanding of the spatial diffusion process. Diffusion and information flow are directly related. This paper examines the operation of formal and informal information systems in rural areas of Papua New Guinea and suggests ways in which the flow of information into rural villages may be made more effective. Keywords
