Abstract
The quenching of the fluorescent state of perylene by radiationless energy transfer into the triplet manifold of phenanthrene‐d10 is observed, viz., S1D+T1AS0D+T2A. The variation of perylene fluorescence intensity as a function of phenanthrene‐d10 triplet concentration is predicted quantitatively by the Förster theory.
