Abstract
Bone remodelling allows vertebrates to regulate bone mass, and osteoblasts can control osteoclast differentiation. This paper investigates the role of leptin in this mechanism, where the authors demonstrate that it inhibits bone formation and is mediated by sympathetic signalling via β2-adrenergic receptors (β2-ADR) on osteoblasts. This Recommendation is of an article referenced in a Faculty Review also written by Claire Fielding and Simón Méndez-Ferrer.Keywords
