Abstract
The addition of barbituric acid to ruminant rations to decrease ureolytic activity was found to be detrimental as measured by body growth and feed utilization in sheep fed a urea diet. Cellulose hydrolysis in vitro was inhibited at low levels of barbituric acid with either urea or protein as the nitrogen source. Copyright © . .This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
