THE CYTOS BIOLOGICAL EXPERIMENTS CARRIED OUT ON THE SOVIET ORBITAL STATION SALYUT-6

Abstract
Two biological experiments (CYTOS program) [Paramecium tetraurelia proliferation in weightlessness] were performed aboard the Soviet orbital station, Salyut 6. For these experiments several original devices were developed. The technical characteristics of this specialized hardware were given and the experimental methods used to carry out these experiments were explained.
