Abstract
Three patients with intractable congestive heart failure (CHF) resistant to all other therapy were treated for three, five and six months by continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD). They lost eight to II kg in weight and had a marked improvement in symptoms of heart failure. Recurrent peritonitis precluded the continuation of CAPD and all three patients died within two weeks of stopping the treatment. Keywords
