Abstract
Laryngeal tomograms were produced of students and fully-trained singers. Analysis shows that the movements of the larynx diminish, the greater the vocal efficiency. In particular, the ability of the vocal cords to vibrate at high frequencies only remains optimal if superfluous innervations which produce displacement of the larynx are avoided. Keywords
