Abstract
A theory of the radial distribution function in nonpolar liquids composed of spherical molecules is developed. The characteristic features of experimentally determined radial distribution functions are reproduced by the theory. A single parameter, the work of formation of a cavity of of molecular size, determines the approximate form of the distribution. Keywords
