Abstract
To the Editor.— Congratulations on the moving and accurate report on marijuana that was published to "open some pediatric eyes to the need to drop the current all too prevalent laissez-faire attitude about this problem."1 I use this opportunity to call attention to an extremely useful tool that is available to the pediatrician working with patients and their families around the issue of drug use; namely, the cannabinoid urine assay for the detection of marijuana metabolites in the urine.2
