Abstract
The author describes pillows and hyaloclastites formed at the expense of pre-Etnean basalts with tholeiitic affinities in the Adrano area. He finds the cause of their elaboration in the penetration of a particularly fluid lava free of scoria-ceous gangue into the bed of a river.Keywords
