Abstract
Mossbauer spectroscopy measurements were made at the Fe sites in the pseudo-binary compounds (Zr1-xHfx)Fe2. The experimental results indicate the existence of two kinds of site with respect to isomer shift and quadrupolar interaction behaviour. An explanation based on a tight-binding model and taking into account the existence of a magnetisation axis along the (111) direction is presented for the observed hyperfine electric interactions. Keywords
