Abstract
A prospective study of 712 patients who had tonsillectomy by guillotine or dissection suggests that salicylates used as post-tonsillectomy analgesia increase the post-operative hemorrhage rate. Paracetamol used as post-operative analgesia was related to a significantly reduced hemorrhage rate. Guillotine tonsillectomy did not have any adverse effect on the hemorrhage rate. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
