Abstract
If we define a commuter living in a zone i as an individual whose place of work is in some zone, j ≠ i, then clearly the proportion of commuters in i will be a function of, among other things, the size of i. In this paper, various models based upon work by Kulldorff (1955) are examined which enable estimates of the real level of commuting to be formed from such size-linked data. Keywords
