Abstract
Experiments were conducted to determine the effects of temperature, humidity, age, and sex on the toxicity of dieldrin and ethion to onion maggot adults. Pretreatment temperature did not affect the toxicity of either dieldrin or ethion. Posttreatment temperature had a marked effect on the toxicity of both. In general, toxicity increased as the temperature increased. Variations in posttreatment humidity did not affect the toxicity of either material. There was no significant evidence that age affected the toxicity of dieldrin and ethion to the onion maggot adults. Female flies were significantly more resistant to the action of dieldrin and ethion than the males. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
