Abstract
The opinions of 400 Montana citizens indicate that Montanans strongly approve the wilderness concept and oppose the use of natural resources (oil, natural gas, timber, and minerals) located in wilderness areas. However, substantial percentages of the respondents feel that the use of certain natural resources might be permitted under special circumstances. In addition, two-thirds of those questioned favor exploration for oil, gas, and other resources located on public lands bordering wilderness areas. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
