Synthetic Semiconductor Diamond Electrodes: A Photoelectrochemical Study under Laser Flash Illumination

Abstract
Photopotential transients, observed upon illumination with nanosecond laser flashes, were recorded for thin‐film chemical‐vapor‐deposition diamond electrodes under open‐circuit conditions. The transients were analyzed using a simple equivalent circuit of the electrodes. Components of the equivalent circuit were determined from the photopotential decay curves. They closely coincide with those measured by the rectangular‐current‐pulse technique.
