Abstract
Using standard clearance techniques, the effect of mercuhydrin upon the reabsorption of electrolytes in the renal tubule has been studied in dogs infused with NaNO3 soln. It is concluded that mercuhydrin causes a primary inhibition of chloride ion reabsorption and the other changes are secondary. Keywords
