Antibiotic Agents Separated from the Root of Lace-leaved Leptotaenia

Abstract
Two oil fractions obtained from the roots of L. dissecta were tested for antibiotic activity against 62 strains and spp. of bacteria, molds, and fungi. Both were partially effective against Gram-negative organisms, but much more so against Gram-positive bacteria. They were highly effective against various molds and fungi. One fraction injd. into mice was of low toxicity.
