Abstract
Green peas from plots either with or without irrigation at both flowering and pod swelling were harvested progressively from a very low to a very high tenderometer reading (TR). A relationship between yield and TR was computed for both non-irrigated and irrigated peas, and correction factors for yield with TR were derived. With irrigation, yields increased regularly as TR increased. Without irrigation, yield rose more rapidly at low TRs, and at higher TRs changed little. Possible reasons for this and practical implications are discussed. Keywords
