Abstract
Dormancy of « Haynaldia villosa » Schur as revealed during seed ripening. — Germination energy and power of « normal » (yellow) and « red » seeds of « Haynaldia villosa » Schur were studied at 3 days; seeds were analyzed at milk stage, wax stage, full ripening and 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90 days after ripening. « Normal » seeds start to germinate at full ripening; after 60 days their dormancy is finished. « Red » seeds germinate with a delay of 30 days as compared with « normal » seeds; 90 days after full ripening they are still in conditions of « relative dormancy ».
