Remarks on Particle-Nucleus Scattering

The differential cross section of elastic $p$-${\mathrm{He}}^4$ scattering at 1.7 BeV/c is computed, using a nuclear wave function consistent with elastic $e\alpha$ scattering data. A calculation of the elastic scattering cross section for ${\pi }^{-}$-${\mathrm{He}}^4$ at 8 BeV/c is also presented.
