Abstract
Electron- and photon-initiated showers in lead have been calculated in a simple Monte Carlo manner for energies from 20 to 500 Mev. The results, exhibited in a series of transition curves, show considerable differences from the results of conventional cascade theory in that the number of electrons at the maximum are fewer and the shower is more penetrating. Keywords
