Abstract
Release of heterogenetic infectious mononucleosis receptor from sheep and beef erythrocytes by receptor destroying enzyme, influenza viruses and plant proteases is described. Numerous other enzymes were inactive. Material released by enzymatic action inhibited specifically infectious mononucleosis antibody and gave color reactions indicating that neuraminic acid or its derivatives are involved. Keywords
