Comparative study of methods of computer-matching mass spectra

Abstract
The performance of different methods of computer-matching mass spectra has been examined, using a library of terpene mass spectra. The matching of from six to eight of the most intense peaks in each spectrum yielded the best results. A discrimination level of 10.0 to 12.5% of base peak gave the best results when using the 1-Bit encoding method, a result significantly different from a previous finding.
