Abstract
In this paper canonical correlation analysis is presented as the most universal case of the general linear model. It is suggested that canonical methods may have been underutilized in contemporary analytic practice, perhaps because software has been lacking. A computer program is discussed which provides for a calculation of several recently developed canonical coefficients as well as for implementation of a new stepwise method of canonical analysis. Keywords
