Abstract
A generalisation of the Lindemann criterion of melting for ionic crystals and their solid solutions is suggested. The calculated phase diagrams for such mixtures appear to be in good agreement with the available experimental data. A criterion of solubility in the solid phase for these substances and their possible glassification are discussed. Keywords
