Abstract
The nucleon mean free path in the intermediate energy region is estimated using various relativistic nuclear potential models. While the small effective mass in the relativistic models significantly enhances the theoretical values for the mean free path through Negele-Yazaki effect, it does not resolve the deviation from the experimental values extracted from the proton reaction cross sections on various targets. Keywords
