Abstract
Widths of six rotational lines of SO2, broadened by OCS, have been measured. The self‐broadened widths of 10 lines have also been measured. For the OCS‐broadening case, the linewidths have also been calculated theoretically on the basis of the Anderson theory, and the relative importance of different interaction mechanisms has been assessed. The calculated linewidths do not agree with the observed linewidths. Keywords
