Abstract
The use of pyridinium poly‐hydrogen fluoride for the convenient production of fluorohydrins is described. Pyridinium poly‐hydrogen fluoride as the hydrofiuorinating agent for epoxides allows the reaction to be carried out under mild conditions without heating the reaction mixture. The method is applicable to both aliphatic and aromatic epoxides. Keywords
