Abstract
Acute glucagon treatment of rats increased in liver the intramitochondrial concentration of acetylglutamate which is an activator of carbamylphosphate synthetase. Part of the stimulation of citrulline formation by glucagon is related to this increase of acetylglutamate concentrations.
