Abstract
The thermodynamic parameters have been determined for the formation of the lanthanide monokojate complexes at 25° C in aqueous solutions of 2.00 M and 0.10 M ionic strength (NaClO4). The stabilities are comparable to those of the analogous acetylacetonates. The variation of the enthalpies and entropies of formation as a function of lanthanide atomic number are discussed in terms of possible hydration and bonding effects. Keywords
