Abstract
Administration of testosterone propionate to castrated male or ovariectomlzed female rats lowered plasma LH [lutelnizing hormone] levels. Intravenous injection of a purified porcine LH-releasing factor (LRF) preparation significantly raised plasma LH levels in these rats. LRF preparations also depleted the pituitary LH of castrated male rats pretreated with testosterone. The data indicate that LRF releases LH in male as well as in female rats. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
