Abstract
The polychromatic drawings of Paleolithic age in the Altamira Caverns, Santander Province, Spain, reveal man’s early interest in color, not merely to attain a faithful reproduction of what he sees, but by adding the dimensions of chroma to that of tone, to differentiate better in graphic representation.Keywords
