Abstract
Inoculation with Azospirillum brasilense‐Cd stimulated significantly the uptake of NO3 ‐ from the nutrient solution and uptake and accumulation of Rb+ in 5‐to 20‐day‐old Sorghum bicolor × Sorghum sudanense grown in hydroponics or sand. This increase in ion uptake by plants inoculated with Azospirillum was apparently due to a general increase in the root and shoot dry weight, but not due to a specific increase in ion uptake. Keywords
