Simulation studies onCPandCPTviolation inBB¯mixing

Abstract
A simulation study is carried out for evaluating the experimental sensitivities of the BELLE detector at KEK’s B factory on CP and CPT violating effects in B0B0 mixing. CP violating effects are examined in terms of the charge asymmetries of same-sign dilepton events and single lepton events. The CPT violating effect is examined in terms of the time evolution of the opposite-sign dilepton events. As a by-product, it is shown that a precise extraction of the B0B0 mixing parameter xd and the B lifetime τB is possible from the proper time distribution of the same-sign dilepton events.
