Abstract
Concentration of urinary and placental human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in mothers Rh negatively immunized was found to be considerably lower than in normal pregnancies. Since all the placentae were checked histologically, this finding suggests that the presence of relatively large numbers of histologically intact Langhans cells is not always associated with high concentrations of HCG in the urine and placenta. Keywords
