Abstract
Cold and moist treatment of seed of E. gigantea, E. niphophila, and a mountain form of E. pauciflora is found to improve greatly the amount of germination, which in these species is often very low or even nil without treatment. Similar treatment hastens the germination of E. dives and the effect is more prominent with E. dives from 4000 ft elevation than from 2000 ft.Keywords
