Abstract
The radiation from an electron moving in a uniform magnetic field is investigated quantum mechanically. Reasons are given for expecting deviations from the classical calculations at electron energies of about 100 Mev in the presence of a magnetic field of gauss. The quantum-mechanical calculation is carried through and is compared with the classical calculation. Although the deviations are considerable, it is explained why the experiments of Elder, Langmuir, and Pollock of the G. E. synchroton would not detect them.
