Sur l'age du flysch de la zone des breches de Tarentaise

Abstract
Recent discoveries of Orbitolina sp. in Flysch deposits in the northeastern part of the Tarentaise breccia zone in the Arc-Rhone region, France, show that these detrital deposits are lower Cretaceous in age, whereas the Flysch deposits in the southwestern part of the zone are Lutetian and Priabonian (Tertiary) in age. The intervening Moutiers Flysch complex may represent an intermediate zone in which both the Nummulitic and Cretaceous are represented.
