Abstract
An apparatus designed to separate into timed samples the insects caught in a light trap is described. Collections are made by a series of jars seated on a rotating horizontal wheel; motive power is provided by a falling weight; and an escapement mechanism is activated by a solenoid and timer. An accuracy of [plus or minus] 3 minutes in hourly timed periods has been attained. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
