Abstract

The electrochemical–hydrothermal synthesis of a new mixed-valence oxide BaV₇O₁₆·nH₂O (n ≈ 4.4) with [V₇O₁₆] layers containing both vanadium oxygen tetrahedra and distorted octahedra is reported.
