Abstract
An applicator for coupling electromagnetic (EM) energy into a dielectric material such as tissue is described. The applicator is a section of a surface strip transmission line which has proved to couple the EM energy efficiently and with minimal radiation leakage around the body. It is also small, light, and flat, and hence, suitable for medical applications. Keywords
