The Sexually Liberated College Student—Fact or Fancy

Abstract
Questionnaires were administered to a random sample of college students at a large state university in order to assess their sexual experience and behavior. In spite of the obvious effects of the sexual revolution that has resulted in a higher number of students having had premarital coitus, many students were found to be sexually inactive and unreliable in their use of contraceptives. There is a pressing need for creative educational programs to enhance students' rational control and emotional comfort with their individual sexual preferences and activities.
