Abstract
An argument is presented for studying instructor performance over time rather than in global indices. Students in 11 university courses rated their instructors at the end of each class period of a semester. Chain P-technique factor analysis suggested the following primary dimensions of change: Interesting/ Informative; Personal Concern; Rapid, Lively Presentation; Comprehensibility; Receptivity; Enthusiasm for Topic; Relevance; Confidence. Technical Competence and Responsiveness were the two second-order factors. Keywords
