Abstract
We reviewed the clinical observations and pathological findings of seven patients with molluscum contagiosum associated with an intense inflammatory reaction. These represent 17% of all biopsies diagnosed as molluscum contagiosum in five years in our department. The probable etiology of the dermal reaction is a disruption of the molluscum papule and its subsequent discharge into the dermis. Keywords
