Abstract
The layering habits of Picea sitchensis Carr., Tsuga heterophylla Sarg., and T. mertensiana Carr. in southeastern Alaska are described. The mechanics of the process were investigated by means of a detailed anatomical study of layered branches. Suggestions are offered as to the physiological processes involved. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
