Abstract
This paper reviews some factors affecting the role of women as managers in the health care system. Issues such as selection and the importance of role models are discussed. A survey of existing management selection practices in the province of Ontario, Canada, reveals relevant information for consideration by women hoping to attain management positions.Keywords
