GRANULOMATOUS ILEOCOLITIS PRECEDED BY 3 YEARS OF PAUCIARTICULAR ARTHRITIS

Abstract
The case of a 12 yr old man is presented in whom pauciarticular arthritis preceeded the clinical onset of granulomatous ileocolitis by 3 yr. Before the onset of gastrointestinal symptoms, the patient''s clinical diagnosis was juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. This case stresses the importance of including inflammatory bowel disease in the differential diagnosis of pauciarticular arthritis in children.
