Abstract
The dose in rontgens (rep) is calculated at interior points of a semi-infinite space consisting of human tissue, for the case when a broad monochromatic collimated beam of neutrons falls perpendicularly upon the free surface. The variation of the mean free path with energy is neglected, and with this approximation the physical effects can be shown to be proportional to the neutron energy flux. This latter quantity is then determined as a function of the distance into the tissue using the Spherical Harmonics P7 approximation. Keywords
